About

Soy bilingüe y puedo dar clases en español!

Over the last two decades of my music career, I have worked with a wide range of musicians, teachers, and scenarios across the globe. This valuable experience has provided me with a strong foundation and an in-depth understanding of the musical language, particularly when it comes to the most expressive instrument of all, the electric guitar.

In my experience as a mentor, I've learned to navigate the intricacies and subtleties of passing down that wisdom and experience to others. Even though my academic training has given me priceless knowledge and insights into this universe, I embrace the fact that when it comes to music, there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all.

There's a unique place where you can connect in limitless expression with your guitar. Our mission will be to carve a clear path to get you there. Regardless of where you are, my job is to inspire you and lay the foundation for you to reach your goals without wasting time, effort, and energy.

Whether you're about to start or looking to break your boundaries, with me by your side, I guarantee that your journey will be much more rewarding and fulfilling. But I'll let you be the judge: book a free, no-compromise 15-minute lesson today so we can meet and talk about where you are and where you want to go. If we're the right fit for each other, we'll briefly discuss a course of action to start your journey.

In developing my craft, I have been fortunate to go through different phases and environments that have shaped me in various ways. The knowledge I gained from my Music Theory & Composition degree gave me a clear understanding of rhythm, melody, and harmony. But the thousands of hours I've spent on stages, studios, and festivals have shaped my relationship with music and the guitar.

As a mentor, I strive to give my students the best of both worlds. The key for me is to ignite your passion through the music and styles you connect with the most. Through that process, I cultivate a clear and structured understanding of theory and techniques essential to your playing.

In short, I'll teach you everything you need and help you identify what you can do without.

Recommending books or methods without knowing your goals and aspirations can do more harm than good. Students can be easily discouraged by spending time on the wrong things. And I'm all against wasting time.

However, there is one book that I can recommend to each and every musician without any reservations: "The Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten. This is not your typical music book filled with scales or exercises. "The Music Lesson" is "an inspiring parable of music, life, and the difference between playing all the right notes…and feeling them." I experienced a profound growth in my relationship with music after reading this book, and many other musicians agree that it can do the same for anyone, regardless of their experience, instrument, or style.
