Jonathan is a teacher, artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Louisville, KY. He has taught music lessons for over 10 years. He offers private music instruction in piano, voice, guitar, and songwriting in Louisville, in southern Indiana, and online.

Jonathan studied piano performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, IN and finished his studies at Indiana University Southeast, where he studied with Dr. Joanna Goldstein. He has been teaching private music lessons since 2004, and has been teaching 10-20 hours per week in the Louisville, KY area for the past four years.

I approach each student as a unique individual, finding their strengths and the areas in which they could improve as I develop an appropriate curriculum (music books, songs, etc.). I provide a personal approach to each student instead of a blanket one-size-fits-all method.

I am also a songwriter and recording artist and have been writing and recording for 6+ years. I would love the opportunity to take on students in songwriting. I have recorded in Nashville at Dark Horse recording studios (Taylor Swift) and have worked with songwriters such as Aaron Rice (Mandisa, Toby Mac) and Matt Hammitt (Santus Real).
