About Bebop!
Learn the secrets and intricacies of the foundation of modern jazz, bebop. Students will be taken through the joys and challenges of chord-based improvisation. All the techniques of the greatest bebop improvisors, including Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and so many more, both pianists and non-pianists will be featured in this class! Learn to play bebop by playing along with teacher supplied tracks.
Class Goals
- Understanding what bebop is, and how to go about improvising in this genre
- Greater growth and understanding of Chord Progressions
- Learn by doing, the class will be improvising IN class!
