ABOUT JOANNE CORR

A graduate of San Francisco Conservatory Of Music, I have been teaching clarinet and piano for 26 years. During those years, I had opportunity to perform during the intermission of San Francisco Ballet and in the San Francisco Mozart Summer Festival, made recordings with the Watchtower Society Orchestra. I was also a recipient of the King County Arts Commission to perform chamber music series in Seattle Washington. Currently, I teach privately to 20 students in my studio. Over the years , I taught students of all ages from 4 to 75 years old. Many of my students participate in their school band and orchestra program. Some of them also play in their local Youth Symphony Orchestras. I usually incorporate music theory, famous composers and music history in the lessons. My students have opportunity to perform twice a year in recitals, participate in the Music Artistry Program with the Music Teachers National Association as well as Solo and Ensemble program from their schools.
