ABOUT TANYA SVEC
Ms. Svec attended the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University on full scholarship to earn both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in music education where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She graduated as Salutatorian of her high school. She is a Teaching Fellow, Governor's School graduate, and has experience teaching 5th-12th grade band in the public schools, all ages of private music students, college music theory and trumpet, and adult/student church orchestras and choir. Her students have gone on to receive scholarships and top chairs in many venues of music schools, teaching, military, and professional performing positions.
Her former students work as music industry professionals, professional performers, military musicians and directors, music educators at all grade levels, and private music directors for churches, theaters, etc. Ms. Svec was featured in "SBO (School Band and Orchestra) Magazine," as one of the nation's 50 directors making a difference.
