Learn the provisional cast-on with two colors, 2-colored cables, chart reading, Kitchener stitch with two colors, cabling without a cable needle, and blocking. It’s a cable game changer!


Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class

- Yarn: 2 Highly contrasting shades of Worsted weight yarn (yarn used in sample is Kim Dyes Yarn Cannoli Worsted), 400 yds each color
- Needles:Size US 9 (5.5mm) 24” circular knitting needles
- Additional Supplies:Stitch Markers, Sticky Notes, Tapestry Needle, worsted weight waste yarn, Size G Crochet Hook

Purchase a copy of Palace in Wonderland Cowl available on Tanisknits.com or Ravelry

With crochet hook and waste yarn, chain 145 (be careful not to chain too tightly)

Tanis Gray

    Tanis Gray Chang believes that we are stronger together. When we respect each other, listen, learn, and educate, we can lift each other up and thrive as humans. A graduate of RISD, Tanis lives in Northern VA with her Mechanical Engineer husband and two children. She has been in the creative field for many years and has worked on projects with Warner Brothers, Lucasfilm, Tim Burton, and Disney. With over 650 published knitting designs in her portfolio, her work has been featured in many major publications and books worldwide. She is the author of many renowned knitting books including Knit Local: Celebrating America’s Homegrown Yarns, The Official Nightmare Before Christmas Knitting Book, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Knits, and the Official Disney Knitting Book.
