Four-Shaft Double Weave - Part 2

About Four-Shaft Double Weave - Part 2

Continue on from Part 1 or join in for our second double weave series of exploring 4-shaft double weave. This workshop will cover: lace techniques (Leno and Book's bouquet), quilting and pick-up.

Lisa will demonstrate live, then follow along as students individually weave to ensure all students are able to successfully achieve the technique. Extensive theory will also be discussed to ensure students understand the foundations of the structure. Students will leave with a thorough understanding of how these double weave techniques work and know how to design and create their own future double weave projects

For an introduction to double weave, join us for Four-Shaft Double Weave - Part 1, October 1 - 22, 2024. Enroll here: https://Lessonface.com/apply/Four-Shaft-Double-Weave-Part-1

Registered students will receive information approximately two months before the date of the workshop with warping instructions and a list of suggested yarns and setts. Your loom should be dressed and ready to weave for day one of the workshop. Students from Part 1 can use the same warp.

We recommend that students have a camera set up so that the instructor can see them while they weave. Not mandatory, but helpful if challenges arise. Parts of each session will be demonstration, students weaving independently, learning theory, and everyone sharing their work.

The capacity for this class is 25 students.
