Playful Freeform Embroidery
Playful Freeform Embroidery with Tasha Miller Griffith
Learn all the basic stitches you need, and discover freeform embroidery with threads and wool yarn. You'll be inspired by traditional styles and the world around you. Sample different techniques and materials, and get tips for planning and transferring designs. We'll learn together over two sessions on Zoom, with time in between to practice. Class recordings and demonstrations will be available to review between classes and after the class is over. Come ready to experiment, have fun, and begin to develop your own personal embroidery style. You'll leave with plenty of ideas to help you add unique stitching to your next project.
This class is presented in collaboration with John C. Campbell Folk School and Lessonface. Class capacity is 12 students. Registration closes on February 1, 2024. Students are invited to attend a large group Orientation and Closing Ceremony to connect with various classes online.

The class was absolutely wonderful. It was informative, fun and the experience of the instructor was exemplary. Tasha was so kind and patient, bringing more to the learning experience than expected. I feel inspired to keep "making" both by the instructor and the rest of the participants. Thank you

Excellent instructor. A bit elementary for me so indicating that it is a beginning class in the description would be good. That said, it was a great review and very inspiring for me.

Very inspiring! We learned basic stitches and saw examples of what artists have done with them. Most importantly, we learned to just jump in and begin, which released my creativity.
