Stories for Climate Change: How to have dialogues about taking climate action

About Stories for Climate Change: How to have dialogues about taking climate action

The climate crisis is a daunting challenge for all of us. How do we talk about it with each other, when so many people have already given up on being able to do anything? Stories are our candles in the darkness, for the wisdom embedded in traditional stories have the keys to help us through these difficult times.

Stories for Climate Change is a course to show people how stories can unlock the way to a better future. Our traditional stories have guided cultures through hardship and change, and they can continue to do so. We can use these stories to encourage people to talk with one another, to connect with one another, in a time when argument and disconnection is all that some in our society know.

This is a workshop for environmentalists, concerned citizens, educators, and people who are confused about what is going on surrounding climate change. It is an opportunity to have meaningful conversations for many voices to be heard. It is a chance to admit the despair and grief caused by climate change and also a chance to become encouraged and moved to take action to make conditions better.

This course will show how stories can open doors and windows into people’s hearts and minds. Find out how your story can make a difference.
