About

Gail Pilgrim (aka Pilgrim Ross) has been weaving since 2005 having trained at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and Vavstuga. While continuing her day job as a law professor of FDA regulation, she finds weaving the perfect blend for her background in arts and science. Her passion for weaving towels has led to organizing study group topics, participating in large towel exchanges with MAFA, and during COVID, urging her colleagues in the Weavers’ Guild of Kalamazoo to “Throw in the Towel” for a lockdown-inspired exchange. The presentation that accompanied that exchange grew into this full-fledged program on weaving the perfect towel and has been well-received by guilds in several states. Gail is a member of HGA, MLH, MAFA, WGK, CB, WRSW and study groups in both Michigan and Ohio. She served 12 years as Education Chair for the Weavers' Guild of Kalamazoo and writes a monthly column "Loose Threads" for the guild. Gail currently resides in Canfield, OH and teaches online via Zoom.
