Thiago Trinsi is an accomplished artist, guitarist, producer, composer, orchestrator, and music and technology specialist. With over 20 years of experience teaching electric guitar in Brazil, Iceland, Sweden, and the UK, Thiago has established himself as a respected musician and educator. He holds a Master's Degree in Orchestration for Films, Games, TV and is particularly renowned for his creation of the Alternate Hybrid Picking Technique.
In addition to his teaching career, Thiago is an active performer and clinician, conducting master classes, lectures, and touring internationally. He has been providing online guitar lessons since 2007 and has created online guitar courses and coaching programs for guitarists.
Thiago is the author of 10 Guitar Studies to Boost Your Alternate Picking Technique, a popular video lesson package, as well as The Alternate Hybrid Picking Technique Book - The Mechanics Unveiled, which provides comprehensive instruction on his signature technique. As a multi-award-winning guitarist, Thiago has been ranked among the top three best talent revelations in international guitar competitions.
In recognition of his exceptional teaching skills, Thiago was awarded the title of Teacher of the Year by a prominent online educational institution in New York in 2020. His music projects extend across the continents, collaborating with artists, producers, and talent agencies from Brazil, the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, France, and Greece.
Thiago's education includes studying at prestigious institutions such as the Berklee College of Music in the USA and Chichester University in the UK.
Currently based in England, Thiago also has collaborated with some of the most talented musicians around the world. He has worked with Garry King, the renowned drummer for Jeff Beck and Joe Lynn Turner, Rick Hale, a Grammy-nominated music producer, Mike Lepond, the highly-acclaimed bassist of Symphony X, and Ian Parry, the celebrated vocalist of Elegy and Crystal Tears.
In addition to these collaborations, Thiago has had the honor of performing alongside some of his guitar heroes, including Greg Howe, Brett Garsed, and Andy Timmons, in grand concerts. His passion for music and his willingness to collaborate with artists across genres and nationalities have earned him a reputation as a highly sought-after musician and a valuable asset to any musical project.
There are some basic steps I go for such as chord construction, proper hand and finger strength technique, fretboard theory, strums and fingerpicking, song structures, rhythm guitar, sight reading classical music and standards, extended chords, melody, harmony, triads, tetrads, lead playing theory, examples of interpretation scales and modes, sound textures, guitar techniques and improvisation, arrangement, and composition, depending on the level. I know for a fact that not everyone learns the same way, and for this reason I customize my lessons to match the student´s interests.
