I studied classical piano at the conservatory of Мünster and have achieved the following degrees: Bachelors, Masters and an Advanced Soloists Degree (Concert Examination). I am also an experienced and active piano teacher - I have been teaching pupils of most age groups (from 8 up to seniors) since 2009.
I specialize in teaching classical piano. During my studies I also took courses and am proficient in most types of popular music. I can instruct in theory of music (scales, intervals, simple and complex chords, etc.), as well as in ear training and integrate them in my lessons, whenever necessary. Teaching pupils how to play sheet music with left hand accompaniments is a specialty of mine. I have experience preparing pupils for exams and auditions.
After years of playing some of the most technically demanding classical pieces I am able to give useful tips and strategies for piano technique development.
I have a balanced approach when it comes to the essentials of playing, while also adapting to the personal needs and talents of the pupil.
Theory of music, reading notes, chords and scales are taught gradually as the pupil progresses, alternating with playing without notes.

When it comes to classical music I do recommend pieces that suit the current needs of the pupil. If the pupil wants to play a certain score it will be done, unless said score is currently way too difficult for the pupil.
When it comes to pop, jazz, rock and other styles, I let the pupil pick the piece of music, provided it is within his or her ability.
Since pupils are individually very different I will pick the needed literature on an individual basis and will refrain from giving one set of books/ pieces to all.
