Color Ecoprinting on Silk and Wool
About Color Ecoprinting on Silk and Wool
Learn how to imprint beautiful Plant designs from Nature and create a background in rich color on silk and wool. Ecoprinting (also known as botanical printing) involves collecting leaves, plants and flowers to imprint their images directly upon fibers using the process you learn in the workshop. In this workshop, students will learn techniques to enhance the natural designs to create richly colored backgrounds on their silk and wool. At the end of the day, students will take home both a Habatoi silk and organic merino wool scarf sample ecoprinted in color and the knowledge to continue Ecoprinting from Nature's resources. Ecoprinting is a natural, sustainable art form.
