About Curly Lamb - Punch Needle
Are you interested in trying to punch needle rug hook with a combination of wool rug yarn and wool strips? If so, now is your chance to learn from Kathy, Certified Oxford Company Punch Needle Rug Hooking Instructor. In this one-day class, we will create a festive curly lamb mat that will be ready to display at the end of the class.
This workshop will focus on the basics of punch needle rug hooking using a Size #10 Regular Oxford Punch Needle. You will use a mix of wool rug yarn and Size 7 cut wool strips to create your mat. Both punched! No prior experience is necessary; you can arrive without any knowledge and leave with a handcrafted mat and the skills to create larger rugs in the future.
The kit includes your choice of colors—hand-dyed 100% wool rug yarn, wool strips, a design on a 15” x 15” cotton monk’s cloth, and a little wood painted tray for display. Additional color options will be available on the day of the class.
Frames and Oxford needles will be available for students to use during class and can be purchased afterward.

Dyed Wool Fabric Strips, hand dyed rug yarn, 15" X 15" Monk cloth with design, painted wood tray.

Kathy Donovan
Kathy raises heritage Karakul sheep for their long coarse rug fiber. Yarn is spun and she hand dyes the colors. She became certified in 2014 to teach Oxford Punch Needle. Teaching is her passion and introducing students to discover endless creative rug hooking and punch opportunities.
