Electrifying Laceweight

About Electrifying Laceweight

Spinning laceweight yarn on an e-spinner takes finesse, control, and the right techniques. In this hands-on class, you’ll fine-tune your e-spinner, master drafting and plying, and explore fibers like Merino, silk, alpaca, and cashmere. Learn how fiber type, texture, and spin affect your yarn so you can create delicate, consistent laceweight yarns with confidence. Whether you're new to laceweight or refining your skills, this class will help you spin fine yarns that are as beautiful as they are functional.

The capacity for this class is 15 students.

Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class

An e-spinner in working condition with 3 bobbins and a lazy kate; it's fine if the bobbins are not empty. I recommend a traditional flyer and not a Woolee Winder, if possible. Battery recommended but we will have some power sources in the room.
