The Fabulous Art of Felting: Fabulous Vessels!
Spend some time with me and learn how to make a Fabulous 3-dimensional Vessel using a Flat Resist! We will be using beautiful merino wool fibers, wool prefelts, silks, and an assortment of fibers to create texture and interest!
You will learn~
• How to layout wool over a resist
• How to wet felt over a resist
• Create texture & pattern on the surface
• How to make “craters’ with hidden fibers underneath
• Develop your wet felting, rolling, and fulling skills
The capacity for this class is 8 students.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
1 large towel, 1 small towel
We will be stuffing our vessels to block them, so please bring at least 15 plastic supermarket bags or small towels/ rags.
Materials Kit and Kit Description
Your class registration fee includes a materials kit with a value of $20 which includes:
wool, silks, embellishments, and a resist that you can use again and again at home!

Betty Ann Winters
Betty Ann Winters is a fiber artist working primarily in Nuno felting. At times she incorporates stitching and weaving to make one-of-a-kind pieces of art made of fine wools, silks, and assorted fibers, often using vintage and upcycled fabrics. She is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and Local Cloth in Asheville, NC.
