Finishing School - Knitting
About Finishing School - Knitting
Intimidated by sweaters because you aren’t sure how to seam them? Have you ever knit a lovely sweater that was marred by a not-so-perfect seaming job? Don’t let your fear of finishing hold you back! We’ll cover basic finishing skills that can make your hand-knit sweaters shine, as well as tips to make finishing easier and look seamless.
What will students learn:
Three different seaming methods (for stockinette), including mattress stitch and grafting. Seams for ribbings, reverse stockinette, and garter will be discussed. We’ll cover weaving in ends and discuss blocking techniques as well as caring for hand-knits.
