Inkle Weaving 101
About Inkle Weaving 101
Join instructor Sara Bixler for an introduction to the inkle loom. Pre-warped looms will be provided for students to weave their first band.
We will look at equipment variations, watch a warping demonstration and learn simple warping solutions for plain weave woven bands.
Looms will be available for purchase if you fall in love, as we know you will!
The capacity for this class is 18 students.
Class Materials
Students will want to provide:
• Notebook
• Pen/pencil
• Scissors
• Tape measure
Materials kit:
Kit includes a pre-warped inkle loom for use during class, weft yarns, tapestry needles, handout
Materials kit cost:
$10 (to be paid directly to the instructor at the class)

Sara Bixler
Sara Bixler is the owner and resident instructor of Red Stone Glen Fiber Arts Center in York Haven, Pennsylvania. Her love of travel and different cultures inspire her work and the curriculum offered at Red Stone Glen, set on an idyllic 50-acre property in south central Pennsylvania.
