About Spin the Yarn You Want
You have learned to spin, now discover the wonderful world of making all kinds of yarns. Work through project ideas and concepts like, how to make consistent yarn for a sweater, how to ply from one single, how to prepare and draft for different fibers, how to make art yarn and more. We will make many sample yarns and ideas for future projects.
What will students learn:
Students will learn how to make multiple styles of yarn, how to handle different fibers, how to ply yarn for consistency and variety. They will take a closer look at their own spinning wheel and get comfortable adjusting the wheel.
Materials, Equipment, and Supplies the Student Must Bring to Class
spinning wheel, a bobbin of yarn, multiple bobbins
Students are welcome to bring a bobbin of yarn they've spun.
Materials Kit and Kit Description
Your class registration fee includes a materials kit with a value of $15 which includes:
wool and other fibers

Emolyn Liden
Emolyn learned to knit at a young age without patterns which led her to also spin and dye yarn and wool. She has developed a line of handknits and yarns, and designs knitwear inspired by the yarn. She manages her business, The Roving Knitter, teaches people of all ages to knit and shows her work at craft shows and exhibits. See more of her work at therovingknitter.
