2022: Year in Reviews
2022 has been quite a year at Lessonface, and we see it reflected in the over 5,000 five-star lesson and class reviews students have awarded, one by one, over the months, with over 18,000 five-star reviews now being awarded in our 10 years of operations. Some clear themes emerge in the reviews - celebrating the best teacher, having an amazing lesson, accomplishing goals, being motivated to keep at it. The value of regularly scheduled lessons with inspiring experts is so clear in these testimonials. So we gathered a few here to celebrate the year.
2022 at Lessonface brought:
- Over 150 subjects taught
- 15 recitals, 4 open mics, and 3 masterclasses
- Our 10th anniversary! We mailed out over 20,000 wildflower seeds to celebrate!
- Recognition from media like the LA Times
A few notes about how we collect reviews:
- These reviews are all of paid lessons and classes that occurred on Lessonface. Free trials are not reviewable.
- As with everything on the site, we value privacy (and always have). So students are offered the opportunity to not have their name posted, and are referred to as "Verified Student."
- As we assembled these in December, we have included some from the end of December '21 to make a full year look back.
- We also separate the platform review from the teaching content review. We have always seen students appreciate their teachers above all, and we don't want any tech mishap to get in the way a teacher's a five-star review. We've gathered some of our favorite platform reviews from 2022 here too.
